Sri Sarada Ayurvedic Hospital takes pride in providing a serene and welcoming environment that complements the healing power of Ayurveda. Our minimal infrastructure has been thoughtfully designed to offer patients a comfortable and safe space to embark on their journey towards holistic health and well-being.

Dr. Y. Mahadeva Iyer founded Sri Sarada Ayurvedic Hospital in the scenic village of Derisanamcope in 1920. Dr. Mahadeva Iyer himself spent more than 50 years treating patients till his demise in 1980. The tradition of sastra-based approach in treating the patients is being carried forward by his nephew Late. Dr. S. Ramakrishnan and now Dr.Y.Mahadeva Iyer’s grandsons Dr. K. Chidamabaram and Dr. L. Mahadevan.

Out-Patient Unit

  • Functions all seven days of the week
  • Timings: 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m and 3:00 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Each executive accommodation has its own air conditioner, allowing patients to adjust the room temperature to their preference, ensuring a comfortable environment.

Wardrobe and Storage:

Our executive accommodation are equipped with ample storage space, including a wardrobe and drawers, to keep your belongings organized during your stay.

Treatment Rooms: Sri Sarada Ayurvedic Hospital boasts a range of treatment rooms designed to provide patients for male and female separately with a soothing and peaceful atmosphere during their therapies. Each room is designed to maintain patient privacy and comfort while receiving treatments like Panchakarma, Abhyanga, and herbal therapies.

For Panchakarma therapies, we have dedicated panchakarma rooms that offer a harmonious environment to undergo detoxification and rejuvenation treatments. The rooms are equipped with modern amenities to ensure patients' well-being and comfort during the entire Panchakarma process.

Dispensary: Sri Sarada Ayurvedic Hospital houses a well-stocked dispensary offering high-quality Ayurvedic medicines and herbal formulations. Our team of experts ensures the authenticity and efficacy of the medicines provided to patients.

The hospital has an integral medicine manufacturing unit, catering to the needs of its patients for the purpose of the treatment. Medicines prepared by Sri Sarada Ayurvedic Hospital patients only. It is not sold outside the hospital. Not even for counter sales.

Vegetarian Mess: A clean and hygienic dining area serves Ayurvedic meals prepared according to individual dietary prescriptions. The meals are thoughtfully curated to support the healing process and promote overall well-being. It is running in the Hospital Inpatient premises.

Following diseases have poor prognosis i.e., they are incurable diseases (based on our experience)

  • Progressive supranuclear palsy
  • Cerebellar ataxia
Instruction to Foreign Patients / NRI Patients / North Indian Patients.
  1. Our hospital is not a spa. We treat complicated cases. We cannot offer abhyanga, or oil massage based on the patient demand.
  2. We give simple south Indian vegetarian food only. We will give kanji (Yavagu) with green gram. If needed Chappati can be prepared. No kitchadi or Prakruti based food is given. We do not have facilities to do the same. For people who studied Ayurveda in western countries and for rich people.
  3. We give mineral water. We change beds spread once in 3 days only. The water available for bath here is very very hard water, so we have difficulties to clean.
  4. Dr. L. Mahadevan cannot come for rounds every day. Senior experienced doctor with 15 years experience who are with Dr. L. Mahadevan are given responsibility to take rounds.
  5. They will discuss with Dr. L. Mahadevan and treat. First prescription and diagnosis will be made by Dr. L. Mahadevan.
