Dr. S. Ramakrishnan was born in the year 1933. His father was Sankara Iyer mother was Lekshmi Ammal after his school education he joined Government Ayurveda college in the year 1955. He completed integrated course (DAM) Ayurveda and started his Ayurvedic medical practice along with his uncle Dr. Y. Mahadeva Iyer in Derisanamcope village. He is continuously practicing for almost half a century. He is simple and highly committed to the welfare of patients. During his entire career he has seen very many varieties of cases. He is one of the main causes for the tradition to continue successfully in this village of this Institution. Even after passing away of Dr. Y. Mahadeva Iyer, Dr. S. Ramakrishnan has been responsible in sustaining the functioning of the hospital till date. His contribution in the clinical side is of great importance in the whole history of the hospital.
Dr. K.Chidambaram was born in the year 15.12.1953. He graduated from the Government Ayurveda College in 1979. Joined his maternal grandfather Dr. Mahadeva Iyer in his practice in the hospital. Apart from Clinical practice Dr. Chidambaram is well versed in Bhaisajyakalpana (Preparation of medicines).
Participated and gave lecture demonstration in traditional methods of preparation and preservation of Siddha and Ayurvedic medicines. On 5th & 6th September 1998 at Nardep, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari.
Lecture demonstration in Food preparation for Foreigners at Sivananda Ashram, Neyyar Dam from year 1998 and conducted Health Camps.
Lecture demonstration on Medicines preparations and food preparations at Anaikatti, Coimbatore, in the year 2000.
Clinical and therapeutic values of medicinal plants of the forest of Kanyakumari District at seminar on the forest of Kanyakumari district, by conservation of nature trust at Nagercoil in the year 1998.
Participated and presented in Herbal plant awareness conference 1999 at Rotary Committee Centre, Nagercoil conducted by Collector, Kanyakumari District.
He has given guidance to Projects on Ayurveda for College Students.
He has written a book in the name of "Noi Theerkkum Sri Dhanwantari" – Tamil Book, Published by Karpagam Puthakalayam, Chennai and also he has transliterated and given a short commentary to another book "Sthanusthavam" about Suchindrum Temple written by Sri Adhi Shankararacharya in Sanskrit.
